“I believe it was December, 1962, when [President John F.] Kennedy finally got their [people involved in the bay of pigs invasion] freedom by sending a shipment worth $52 million in medicine and food over to Cuba. The Cubans then released these people. Many of those Bay of Pigs veterans went on to bigger and better things as terrorists for the CIA through the 1960s, 1970s, and into the 1980s\u2026But I think it\u2019s very important to understand that there was no lesson learned in this Bay of Pigs disaster, which until then was the biggest disaster the CIA had ever had.\u201d<\/p>\n
