According to a NYTimes.com article on Nov. 8, 2017: \u201cThe Trump administration on Wednesday [Nov. 8, 2017] tightened the economic embargo on Cuba, restricting Americans from access to hotels, stores and other businesses tied to the Cuban military. A lengthy list [\u201cList of Restricted Entities and Subentities Associated With Cuba as of November 9, 2017,\u201d State.gov, Nov. 8, 2017] of rules, which President Trump promised in June [16, 2017, National Security Presidential Memorandum on Strengthening the Policy of the United States Toward Cuba] to punish the communist government in Havana, came just as Mr. Trump was visiting leaders of the communist government in Beijing and pushing business deals there. Wednesday\u2019s announcement was part of the administration\u2019s gradual unwinding of parts of the Obama administration\u2019s d\u00e9tente with the Cuban government.\u201d<\/p>\n
