US District Court: John Paul Moran, et al. v. Commonwealth of Massachusetts, et al.<\/a>, a Complaint and Emergency Petition for Injunctive Relief<\/em>, was filed in the US District Court, District of Massachusetts, on December 7, 2020, by failed Republican Congressional candidates and hopeful Republican candidates for state offices. Plaintiffs challenged state law rules that expanded early and mail-in voting, claiming the rules were unconstitutional as applied to the November 3, 2020, General Election. The complaint contained claims of fraud and improperly verified mail-in and early ballots.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Plaintiffs sought to decertify the election results, to enjoin the state from sending electors to the Electoral College, and to invalidate an estimated 2 million mailed-in and early votes. The case was assigned to the Hon. Allison D. Burroughs, a Democratic<\/strong> appointee. Plaintiffs withdrew<\/a> their Emergency Petition for Injunctive Relief December 16, 2020, and then voluntarily dismissed<\/a> the case on December 29, 2020.<\/p>\r\n

Issues:<\/strong> Vote-by-mail (no-excuse mail-in voting unconstitutional, signature verification); Election procedure (law violation); Voting machines (fraud)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Outcome:<\/strong> The Plaintiffs lost.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
